TSE 2010

Got back from an amazing week in New Orleans for The Special Event 2010. My feet are worn out from all the walking – seeing the sights and enjoying the food (Messina’s at Riverwalk has the BEST bread pudding), and spending time with old and new friends.

But it wasn’t all play.

It was a pleasure, and privilege to have been a finalist in the Table Top Design competition – and thank you to all the sweet compliments I received for my entry. I called it “Deco Opulence” and it was inspired by the Art Deco movement of the 20 & 30s. My design featured a combination of reproductions and my own interpretation — as well as a pair of vintage salt & pepper shakers.

This bronze “Moon Lady” mirror has found a place in my living room.

Many thanks to Prime Time Party Rental for lending the black crinkle linen and dishes and to Connie Duglin Specialty Linen for lending the silver lame linen.
